As of December 1, 2021, Quality CNA Training will require all students to be vaccinated for COVID-19 prior to attending the first in-person lab day. This change is due the federal mandates from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.

PLEASE NOTE: To keep with current local and national healthcare policies, all students who had the 2nd shot of Pfizer or Moderna more than 5 months ago or the J&J more than 2 months ago MUST RECEIVE THE BOOSTER SHOT.

• 1st Boost Requirements: Any student who received the second dose of Pfizer or Moderna more than 5 months ago OR the Johnson & Johnson single shot more than 2 months ago must receive a booster shot. 
• 2nd Booster Requirements: Any student who received the first booster more than 4 months ago (regardless of the original vaccine) must receive a second booster shot, if eligible.

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services vaccination requirements apply to ALL students and instructors planning to attend classes inside an approved Medicare and Medicaid-certified providers as outlined below:

• Home Health Agencies
• Hospices
• Hospitals
• Programs for All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly Organizations (PACE)
• Long Term Care Facilities

Please note that this is not a comprehensive list, and individual facilities (especially those not receiving Medicare & Medicaid Services, which are few and far between) may have different regulations. However, to ensure our students are not blindsided by the latest COVID-19 regulations, you must provide COVID-19 vaccine records when enrolling in the course. 

It is worth reiterating that the following protocol has been determined by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. We do not want vaccine requirements to come as a surprise to you, nor do we want your future employment jeopardized from failure to comply with wide-sweeping health care policy changes. Vaccines are federally funded and free, regardless of health insurance plans, at most major drugstores near you.
